The APRISE project officially launched with its Kick-off Meeting held on 2–3 October 2025 in Ankara, Türkiye. Partners from academia, industry, and non-profit organisations met at METU Research Park to align on project objectives, governance, and implementation plans.

Over the two days, consortium members discussed key project components including the training programme, secondment framework, and talent selection process. Speakers from participating institutions presented their roles within the project, ensuring a shared understanding of tasks and timelines across all Work Packages.

The meeting marked an important first step in APRISE’s mission to strengthen research and innovation skills in the alternative proteins sector, especially focusing on capacity building in Widening Countries.
