in Research – Registration Open
As part of the APRISE training programme, we are pleased to announce the upcoming Ethics & Integrity in Research training, delivered by Prof. Robert Morris, Professor of Physics at Nottingham Trent University (NTU), UK.
The training will be delivered through interactive, self-paced online videos and curated resources, allowing participants to complete the material at their own pace. It is expected to take approximately six hours, including topic-level quizzes and summative assessments.
Training Content
The programme will cover five key areas:
- Foundations: Introduction to research ethics, integrity and governance; principles of responsible research; compliance and legal aspects.
- Integrity in Practice: Research misconduct, questionable research practices, authorship, publication and peer-review ethics, and conflicts of interest.
- Data and Transparency: Data management and research records; transparency, reproducibility and open research.
- Research Ethics: Ethical principles, working with human participants, ethical review, risk assessment and mitigation.
- Emerging Challenges: Current and future challenges in research integrity and ethics.
The training aims to strengthen participants’ understanding of research integrity and ethical responsibilities and equip them with the knowledge and tools needed to identify and manage ethical challenges throughout the research process.

Registration Deadline

⚠️ Important: Participants who do not complete the registration form by the deadline will not have their NTU account set up and will not be able to participate in the training.
🔒 Participation Eligibility
This training is exclusively for the APRISE community and is not open to the general public.
Participation is restricted to officially affiliated APRISE partners, talents, researchers and staff from APRISE beneficiary institutions.
The training release date and completion deadline are currently being finalized in coordination with NTU. Confirmed dates, access instructions and further logistical information will be communicated directly to registered eligible participants once the technical arrangements are complete.
