We are pleased to conclude the APRISE “Sustainable Food Production & Circular Economy” training module with Session 6, “From Farm to Table,” taking place online on 18 September 2026 at 14:00 CEST.

The session will be delivered by Orkun Paçal from Sütaş. Orkun Paçal is an Environmental Engineer with a B.Sc. degree from Middle East Technical University (METU), Türkiye. For the past four years, he has been working at Sütaş, focusing on climate change and sustainability reporting, with particular specialization in the decarbonization of food supply chains.

The session will examine Sütaş’s integrated “From Farm to Table” business model, demonstrating how circular economy principles can transform dairy production into an economically resilient and sustainable business. It will focus specifically on converting agricultural waste into renewable energy and organic fertilizer to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, close resource loops, strengthen supply chains, and create scalable value for the food industry.

Through this practical industry example, participants will gain insight into how circular economy, climate action, resource efficiency, and decarbonization can be translated into real-world practices within the dairy and food industries.

This session marks the 6th and final session of the APRISE Sustainable Food Production & Circular Economy training module. Following the session, participants will receive a post-training assessment, which must be completed as part of the training completion requirements.

Participation is restricted to officially affiliated APRISE talents, researchers, and staff from APRISE beneficiary institutions. Registration is not open to the general public.
