The APRISE project is pleased to announce the second session of its Sustainable Food Production & Circular Economy training module, “Life Cycle Thinking & Sustainability Metrics in Food Engineering,” taking place online on 27 August 2026 from 10:00 to 12:00 CEST.

The session will be led by Andreas Geß from Hochschule Weihenstephan-Triesdorf, Germany. Andreas Geß is an experienced life cycle assessment (LCA) specialist whose work covers emissions modelling, biodiversity impact assessment, economic evaluation, life cycle costing, and sustainability assessment across food production and other resource-based systems.

The session will introduce participants to life-cycle thinking and sustainability metrics in food engineering, providing tools and perspectives for understanding and assessing the environmental and economic dimensions of food production systems.

The session forms part of the 12-hour APRISE Sustainable Food Production & Circular Economy training module, delivered across six online sessions between August and October 2026.
