From 29 June to 1 July 2026, APRISE successfully completed its first Technical Training School at the Agricultural University of Athens, bringing together APRISE Talents, consortium partners, researchers and industry contributors from across Europe.

The programme covered key areas across the alternative proteins value chain, including plant-based, microbial and cultivated proteins, fermentation and bioprocessing, enzyme applications, non-thermal technologies, protein extraction, and bioreactor design and scale-up. Participants also took part in sessions on leadership, interdisciplinary research, science communication and collaboration across sectors.

The Training School included a technical visit to Solmeyea, offering participants a closer look at microalgae-based protein production in practice.

APRISE warmly thanks its hosts at the Agricultural University of Athens, all trainers and contributors, and the APRISE Talents whose active participation made the programme such a valuable exchange.
